I’VE BECOME AN ADDICT

Yes, the title is correct and not a clickbait. I’ve become an ADDICT. So, don’t judge me. Addiction: “

Addiction

is a condition that results when a person ingests a substance (e.g., alcohol,

cocaine

,

nicotine

) or engages in an activity (e.g., gambling,

sex

, shopping) that can be pleasurable but the continued use/act of which becomes compulsive and interferes with ordinary life responsibilities, such as work, relationships, or

health

. Users may not be aware that their behavior is out of control and causing problems for themselves and others.” -

Psychology Today

Don’t go bonkers already. I’m not a sex addict, alcoholic nor do I abuse drugs. As per the definition, I am addicted to a particular activity and it is slowly causing major havoc in every aspect of my life! I am a Social Media/YouTube/Junk News/Dog & Baby Video Watching ADDICT! A day has 24 hours. But if you look at it through the eyes of a mathematician or a logical person, we have 1440 minutes per day. 1440 minutes, huh… Out of 1440 minutes, 300 minutes are invested for browsing Facebook, Twitter and Instagram - Being a virtual peeping tom to others’ life and simply checking my account for no rhyme or reason.

Result

: Nothing!   300 minutes of watching YouTube videos - from dog and baby videos, to funny sketches of Liza Koshy, Superwoman, EIC and TVF, along with, a good dose of Reaction Videos, Trump Hating skits, Global Food Videos by Mark Wiens and more.

Result

: Envious, Hungry, Sore Eyes and Headache   420 minutes of Being Dead - that’s dead asleep!

Result

: Resting being unproductive! I’m left with 420 minutes. And I need to complete a scheduled blog post, setup client campaigns, work on the next concepts, finish the weekly report…   I have 420 minutes but not enough time to finish my work.   Which means
